During October When Should I Start Keeping My Cat Inside Before Halloween?
I know that people during the month of Halloween will steal black cats and kill/torture them. I have a black cat and I want to keep her safe so I’m keeping her inside. How long before Halloween should I start keeping her inside?

In my opinion, you should keep her inside all year round. People steal, kill, torture cats year round although most likely, people tend to be more idiotic during Halloween. If you really want your cat to be safe, the only way is to really keep her indoors. The outdoor is too terrible an environment for any cats to be safe.
I would start now. Really, it is better to just keep her inside all year round. I used to have a black cat, and we had a few close calls. See if you can slowly get her used to staying inside more.
About now. However if you have to keep her in for several weeks when shes used to going out it may be easier to keep her in all the time rather than keep changing her rules.

If you do it,she’ll get used to it and she’ll stay inside for Halloween…but hey,you can always close all of your doors and windows for Halloween and she won’t get out
I would keep it in around…now =P I keep my black cat inside at all times. I wouldn’t want to put something so near and dear to me in harms way.
NOW is a good time to do it. IMO she should not be roaming outside unsupervised in the first place.
